The housing of exhaust aftertreatment equipment serves as the support and protective enclosure for SCR, DOC and DPF systems.
Material selection directly affects high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and service life.
Available materials:
316 Stainless Steel:
With molybdenum addition for superior resistance to chloride corrosion, acid and alkali. Ideal for harsh corrosive conditions such as biogas, coastal and high-sulfur flue gas. Best anti-corrosion performance at the highest cost.
409 Stainless Steel:
Titanium-stabilized ferritic stainless steel. Low thermal expansion, excellent thermal fatigue and high-temperature oxidation resistance. The mainstream material for exhaust aftertreatment housings with balanced cost-performance, widely used for diesel and natural gas gensets.
304 Stainless Steel:
Features good corrosion resistance and formability, suitable for medium-temperature, low-corrosion conditions, flue gas without high sulfur/chloride ions.
Carbon Steel:
High mechanical strength at the lowest cost. Requires high-temperature anti-corrosion coating. Only recommended for dry, low-corrosion environments, not suitable for humid or sulfur-containing flue gas.
Custom housing material solutions are available according to flue gas composition, operating temperature, corrosion environment.
