In the rapidly developing Southeast Asian market of the digital economy, Malaysia’s data center, as a regional computing hub, has extreme requirements for the continuity and stability of power supply. The generator set, as the core of emergency power supply for the data center, is always on standby to respond to power grid fluctuations. However, the particulate matter (PM) emissions generated by the generator set during operation not only face the increasingly strict environmental regulations in Malaysia, but also contradict the concept of green and low-carbon development of data centers. Faced with this situation, Green Valley Environmental Protection, with mature exhaust gas treatment technology and overseas project experience, has undertaken a core data center generator set exhaust gas treatment project in Malaysia, providing key technical support for the environmental upgrading of regional digital infrastructure.
Based on the operating characteristics of the generator set in the Malaysian data center and the special requirements for temperature and corrosion resistance of equipment in tropical climate, Green Valley Environmental Protection Particle Catcher is selected. It is a new type of heavy-duty diesel engine dry exhaust purification device independently developed by Green Valley Environmental Protection. The product adopts a new material and process combination, and achieves efficient purification through multiple sets of metal DPF carriers in parallel structure. It innovatively uses a snap on mode design, significantly improving the maintenance convenience and regeneration efficiency of the equipment. Equipped with an intelligent control system, when the engine is running and high back pressure is caused by PM carbon particle blockage, the electronic control system opens the bypass. During engine maintenance, the metal filter element can be flexibly extracted from the filtration unit for water washing regeneration. The particle trap of Green Valley Environmental Protection operates stably and reliably, with a compact and reasonable overall structure. It is made of high-quality corrosion-resistant materials and can be used in harsh working environments such as high temperature, high humidity, and high dust. After extensive practical project verification, the failure rate is extremely low during long-term continuous operation, and maintenance is convenient, providing users with stable and reliable purification services.
Project Name: Exhaust Gas Treatment of Generator Sets in Malaysia Data Center
Brand and model: Mitsubishi S16R2-PTAW and MTU16V4000 * 52 units
Displacement: 79L
The team first tested the exhaust emissions of multiple backup power generators in the data center. Green Valley Environmental Protection’s particle trap passed an efficient exhaust treatment plan, reducing pollutant emissions during the operation of the generators. The test results met local exhaust treatment standards, providing valuable practical examples for Malaysia to build a “green digital infrastructure” and further demonstrating Green Valley Environmental Protection’s technical strength and service capabilities in overseas governance.
