Against the backdrop of economic globalization, the brewing industry, as a key monitored sector with high energy consumption and high emissions, is accelerating the promotion of clean energy utilization and advanced pollution control.
Sichuan, a core production base for Chinese Baijiu, boasts a large-scale brewing industry. The substantial organic waste such as wastewater and distillers’ grains generated during the brewing process poses a risk of environmental pollution if not properly treated.
A certain winery has built a power station using biogas produced from the anaerobic digestion of brewing wastewater, realizing the resource utilization of organic waste. However, the nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) emitted during the operation of biogas-fired generator sets are relatively high, far exceeding the current environmental protection emission standards, which has become a key constraint on the enterprise’s green development.
To address this issue, Green Valley Environmental Protection has customized a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) denitration system for the winery. Through precise design, intelligent regulation, core optimization and equipment adaptation, the company has provided highly valuable successful experience for flue gas treatment of biogas-fired power generation in the brewing industry.
Project: Flue Gas Denitration for a Biogas-fired Power Station of a Winery in SichuanProcess: SCR DenitrationEmission Target: NOₓ emissions reduced from 500 mg/Nm³ to 50 mg/Nm³
By adopting the SCR denitration technology, the winery has achieved ultra-low NOₓ emissions from its biogas-fired power generation system. This solution not only addresses the critical challenge of meeting environmental compliance standards, but also drives the enterprise’s upgrade from resource-efficient utilization to green development. It thoroughly resolves the environmental pain point associated with the winery’s biogas power generation and effectively reduces the regional air pollution load.
