Low nitrogen transformation | ceramic kiln need to do nitrogen oxide (NOX) treatment?

With the attention of society to sustainable development and green manufacturing, the ceramic industry has gradually developed in the direction of low carbon and environmental protection. Low nitrogen transformation is not only the performance of corporate social responsibility, but also an important means to enhance corporate image and enhance market competitiveness. Ceramic kiln in the production process, especially in the high temperature firing stage, the kiln combustion process will produce nitrogen oxides, which is a harmful pollutant to the environment, NOx not only has a serious impact on the atmospheric environment, but also has an adverse impact on human health, the formation of NOx, will lead to acid rain, photochemical smog and other environmental problems, but also cause damage to the ecosystem. Through low nitrogen transformation, NOx emission can be effectively reduced and air quality can be improved.

With the increasingly strict environmental regulations, the government’s industrial emission control standards are also constantly improving, requiring enterprises to take measures to reduce NOx emissions, meet the regulatory standards, ceramic kilns for low nitrogen transformation, in order to reduce NOx emissions, meet the increasingly stringent environmental regulations, and effectively protect the environment, ceramic manufacturers need to use denitrification technology for low nitrogen transformation.

At present, the main denitrification technologies include selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology and selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) technology, SCR technology reduces NOx to nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O) at a lower temperature by using a catalyst, while SNCR technology does so without a catalyst. NOx reduction is carried out in high-temperature areas by spraying a reducing agent (such as ammonia or urea). In recent years, some enterprises have developed modified SNCR low-temperature denitrification technology, which has the advantages of low cost, low operating cost and small footprint compared with traditional SCR technology, and is suitable for low-temperature denitrification of ceramic kilns.

In summary, ceramic kilns do need to use denitrification equipment to reduce NOx emissions in order to meet environmental standards and protect the environment and human health.
