With the booming development of the digital economy, intelligent computing centers, as the core infrastructure of data centers, are tasked with the storage and processing of massive amounts of data. Backup generator sets, which are required to provide stable power supply in the event of power failures, have extremely high reliability requirements. During the operation of these generator sets, exhaust gas pollution, especially black smoke emissions, not only severely affects air quality but also poses a threat to public health.
Lvgu Environmental Protection, as a high-tech enterprise specializing in exhaust gas treatment, has achieved significant results in the field of black smoke management with its advanced technologies and innovative solutions.
Lvgu Environmental Protection’s dry black smoke purifier is made of advanced 316L alloy metal fiber filtration material from France, which features high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high permeability. The dry black smoke purifier can efficiently remove black smoke and particulate matter (PM) from diesel engine exhaust, with a purification efficiency of over 98%. In practical applications, it reduces particulate emissions in the exhaust to a level of 15 mg/Nm³, which corresponds to Ringelmann Grade 1.
Lvgu Environmental Protection provided a customized exhaust gas treatment solution for this project, using advanced particulate filters. In the project for China Unicom’s intelligent computing center, Lvgu’s exhaust gas treatment equipment was successfully applied to Caterpillar 2000kw and Cummins 2000kw backup generator sets, with a total of 16 sets installed.

Lvgu Environmental Protection’s regenerative particulate filter also features a unique water-washing regeneration function. The filter core performance can be restored simply by a 30-40 second water wash. The operation is straightforward, and the maintenance cost is low. This technology solves the problem of clogging in traditional exhaust gas purifiers, ensuring stable and efficient operation of the equipment over the long term.
With its advanced exhaust gas treatment technology, Lvgu Environmental Protection has provided valuable experience for the sustainable development of the data center industry, helping the sector move towards zero emissions. Lvgu Environmental Protection will continue to increase its R&D efforts and enhance technological performance to provide strong technical support for the green development of data centers and their related industries.
