Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is to control NOX in exhaust gas by using NH3 or urea (usually 32.5% urea aqueous solution with a mass ratio) as a reducing agent under a certain temperature and catalyst. NOX is reduced to N2 and H2O by NH3. Since NH3 preferentially reduces NOX without reacting with O2 first, SCR denitrification is the most widely used and highly reliable denitrification technology at present.
