Biomass, as an important component of “zero carbon energy”, plays a crucial role in China’s energy transition. However, a renewable energy company in Zhejiang mainly engages in the business of urban household waste management, recycling and processing of renewable resources, sewage treatment, and research and development of bio organic fertilizers. In the actual operation process, it was found that Shengdong’s three 500KW generator sets had a NOx concentration in the exhaust gas of up to 3000mg/Nm3 during operation, far exceeding the requirements of atmospheric pollution emission standards. After in-depth research by Green Valley Environmental Protection, a one-on-one comprehensive treatment plan was customized for it to achieve a win-win situation of environmental compliance and economic benefits.
The SCR denitrification system independently developed by Green Valley Environmental Protection has independent intellectual property rights and multiple invention patents. At the same time, it has accumulated a large amount of experience data in the application field, which can ensure that the project design is reasonable and the operation is stable and reliable. Green Valley Environmental Protection adopts the “selective catalytic reduction” process to control NOx in the exhaust of power generation units. NH3 or urea is used as a reducing agent, and under certain temperature and catalyst conditions, NH3 is used to reduce NOx to harmless N2 and H2O.
Exhaust gas treatment project for a generator set developed by a renewable energy company in Zhejiang Province
Project type: NOx treatment of biomass biogas generator tail gas (three in one)
Matching models: Shengdong 500KW * 3 sets
Matching product: GRVNES-TX-24
NOx control target: NOx reduction from 3000mg/Nm3 to NOx ≤ 250mg/Nm3
After being treated by the Green Valley Environmental Protection SCR Denitrification System, the NOx emission concentration in the exhaust gas is stably controlled at ≤ 250mg/Nm ³, which is better than the 300mg/Nm ³ limit specified in the Zhejiang Province “Air Pollutant Emission Standards for Coal fired Power Plants” (DB33/2147-2018), fully meeting the regulatory requirements of the local ecological environment bureau.
Green Valley Environmental Protection adopts the method of combining three Shengdong 500KW generator sets into one, using only one SCR denitration device, which marks the perfect end of ultra-low emissions for a renewable energy project in Zhejiang. In the future, Green Valley Environmental Protection will continue to iterate its technology and work together with more users of biogas, gas, and diesel units to achieve carbon neutrality.
